we’re up all night for good fun

What happens in Vegas…ends up on Kristen’s blog.

It’s just too good not to share. This is coming from someone who had no interest in visiting Sin City until a couple years ago. I guess I just became curious about it. What could possibly be so great? What is it about this city that makes people go cray cray? After multiple failed attempts at planning a trip with groups of girls, the stars aligned and I finally went to Vegas last weekend!  Here are four things I learned during my four days there:

1. Girlfriends are the best. I was reminded of how important they are and that I need to make more time for the lovely ladies in my life.

2. Shopping with a Piña Colada really is the best way to shop.

3. Douche lords come in all shapes and sizes, and many of them, are found in Vegas. Needless to say a group of girls brings some unsolicited attention. Here’s an example of their style and charisma: “I like your face, it’s hot”

This is what it feels like. Also, I like your face, it's hot.

4. I wasn’t sure if I would totally hate Vegas or totally love it. I learned that Vegas can be whatever you make it. For me, it was just what I needed. The right amount of planning and spontaneity made for a fantastic time.  On a typical Saturday night, you can usually find me in bed by 10pm. With a little change of scenery and some wonderful girls {and a vodka tonic or two}, I was dancing all night. I had forgotten how much I enjoy dancing with friends and a mass of complete strangers. It might sound weird, but the energy from the DJ and the music brings people together, and makes me feel connected, present and alive.

The bestie and I want to make it an annual adventure. I can’t wait for next year!
